Lake-Emba is a 10-minute coming-of-age dramedy directly inspired by a young, single-parent family in the 1980s. It follows 11-year-old Becky on her first day of repeating year six. Throughout the film, Becky is confronted by the reality of her fractured relationship with her father. This leads her to discover the value she gets in embracing her age and the love she receives from those who are closest to her; all in her fantastical town she calls Lake-Emba.
